Since Chris was off call this weekend we spent Sat night @ my parent's. Abby got to shuck corn for the first time and she LOVED IT! She wouldn't stop eating it raw, and by the time we cooked it on the grill and she sat down to eat, she wasn't interested. I guess we missed our golden corn opportunity:-) Other than that, we spent today just hanging out. My cousin Kimberly and her girls were out, so I took Kat for a 4 wheeler riding lesson, then my dad got the Ranger working and we went on a 3 hour tour of the back roads of Pine Mountain. Abby fell asleep on the ride, so at least she got a nap which she NEVER gets at my parents. She slept last night from 10:30-5am this morning so she needed it! Once Abby woke up, dad took us down 7 Branches Rd...so named cause this creek runs over the rd multiple times. The girls were keeping count and were really disappointed when they only counted 5 and a puddle. We ended up doing a 6 Flags Thunder River ride when dad hit the water at 30 mph and a wave of water hit everyone in the front seat, went over the canopy, then came back down to rain water on the front seat again. There were 3 places where the water was about 3-4 ft deep, so it made for really good splashing. Of course, Chris and I were in the back seat and only got somewhat soaked. The kids had a BLAST!!! They kept chanting 'Go Papa Go'....and Dad was eating it up - Abby looked like a drowned rat but she was squealing and laughing. Of course now I feel like we can never leave, cause Sundays at Gammy and Papa's have become a tradition. Here's a pict of the kids when we got back to the house (we were in a bit of trouble and had the whole hill looking for us - we were safe the whole time though, promise!). For some reason Abby and Anna needed to be more wet than they already were.
